Migration

Move your on-call over. Leave everything else where it is.

This is not a “rip out your monitoring” project. Keep Sentry, keep Grafana, keep whatever watches your infrastructure. The part that moves is the rotation: who gets alerted, in what order, and who covers when they cannot.

How it works

  1. 1. Create your free workspace — takes a minute and needs no card.
  2. 2. Ask for the migration from the dashboard and send the export from your current tool.
  3. 3. A person here rebuilds it in your workspace, usually the same day, and sends you a summary of what landed where.
  4. 4. You fire a test alert and check that the right phone buzzes before you switch the old tool off.

We do this by hand rather than with an importer, and we would rather say so: a rotation rebuilt wrong pages the wrong person at 3am, and nobody notices until it happens.

What we move

Phone calls and SMS do not come across, because we do not deliver them. If a phone call at 3am is the thing that wakes your on-call, say so before you move — it is the one place PagerDuty and Opsgenie beat us outright.

Where you can move from

Opsgenie
Atlassian is retiring it, which is why most of these requests arrive. Export your schedules, escalation policies and teams from the admin area, or send us a read-only API key.
PagerDuty
Usually a per-seat bill that stopped making sense. Export services, escalation policies and schedules, or point us at a read-only API key.
Grafana OnCall
The OSS version is winding down. Send the escalation chains, schedules and integrations from your instance.

Somewhere else? Send the export anyway. Most on-call tools describe the same three things — people, rotations, escalation — and the format is rarely the hard part.

What it costs

The migration is part of Pro, $19 a month for the whole workspace rather than per person. Everything it moves into — rotations, escalation, monitors, the status page — keeps working on the free plan afterwards.

You can also take it all back out again at any time: one endpoint hands you the whole workspace as JSON, on every plan including free.
